| Can I buy a
pendant with just one of the symbols? |
No, that
would be against the whole ethos of the jewellery! It is about unity,
tolerance, acceptance and inclusion. The only one I would sell separately
would be the dove. For the same reason I will not remove any of the
symbols (other than the dove, if required) from the necklace or bracelet. |
| What can I do to
help promote Peace? |
There
are lots of positive things you can do!
Check the actions page and links page
on this web site and also search engines like Google, AOL or Alta Vista
to find out what events and initiatives you would like to take part in.
Remember, world peace starts with YOU! So, whatever else you do, also work
towards finding peace within yourself. |

really think Peace
is possible? |
As long as
there is peace in one human heart, it is possible. |
| How can one
person make much difference? |
In the
words of Margaret Mead, "Never doubt that a small group of
thoughtful, dedicated people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only
thing that ever has." Consider the fact that whatever ripples you create in your
own life will
grow and eventually become a wave of change affecting everyone around
you and eventually all people on
earth.
This is often called the butterfly effect. |
| What is the
butterfly effect? |
The
butterfly effect is the idea that in a chaotic system, a very small
change to the system applied at a certain point in time makes the future
change in a very dramatic way. |
| How can
this work? |
Well, The
idea that very small causes can produce dramatically out-of-proportion
effects.
The notion that "the flap of a butterfly's wings in Brazil"
might "set off a tornado in Texas" was presented in a lecture
by Edward
Lorenz to illustrate the impossibility of perfect weather prediction
even if all known causes and effects could be measured. The butterfly
effect is an illustration of sensitive dependence on initial conditions. |
| What is the
Peacechain? |
Either
a piece of jewellery or a symbol of your intent. Whichever you choose!
Wear your Peacechain as a badge of office. Not everyone can buy a
peacechain, but we can all carry the energy of it!
